Face Toner DIY

toner cucumber natural DIY

Face toner is an underrated skin care product. It helps restore the pH balance of the skin and refreshes the skin. Toners available in the market have preservatives and bases to last long. Remember anything that is natural will rot/decompose/become stale sooner. If you have to make it last for months together, you’d have to add chemicals to it.

I have two recipes for all-natural toners that works perfectly well for all kinds of skin.

  1. Cucumber water: Take a small piece of cucumber (2 inches long) and grate or grind it in a mixer. Strain the juice and add an equal amount of drinking water. Store this mixture in a spray bottle and refrigerate. You can reuse spray bottles that you had purchased in the past. Alternatively you could store it in any container and use a muslin/cotton cloth/cotton( I prefer spray bottles or muslin cloth rather than cotton balls to reduce wastage) to apply.
  2. Boil some discarded orange peels in a pot of water, and strain. Use this mixture as a toner. Works well.

After washing or cleansing your face, apply some toner. After the skin absorbs the toner and the face dries up, use a moisturizer/sunscreen. Have you tried other recipes of toner? Let me know in the comments below.
